What is an IEP — and what is an IPRC?
An IEP (Individual Education Plan) is a written document that outlines the special education program, accommodations, or modifications a student needs to succeed in school. It's developed with input from parents and reviewed throughout the year.
An IPRC (Identification, Placement, and Review Committee) is the formal Ontario process that identifies a student as "exceptional" and determines their placement. Not every child needs an IPRC to receive an IEP — but many families encounter both terms along the way, and it's easy to feel lost in the acronyms.

A single session to finally understand what your child's IEP says and what it means. For parents, guardians, and caregivers of a child or youth who has an IEP — or is on the journey toward one. Whether your child was just identified or has had a plan for years that still feels unclear, no prior knowledge is needed. We'll walk through what the IEP actually says, decode the terminology, and make sense of the IPRC process if that's part of your journey — so you leave every school meeting knowing exactly what was decided and why.

Ongoing 1:1 support as you navigate meetings, advocacy, and next steps — led by Jen, session by session, for as long as you need it. Sessions are tailored to your family and may include breaking down your child's IEP, prepping for an upcoming school meeting, building advocacy skills, brainstorming accommodations, or planning for transitions. A great fit if you have a meeting coming up and don't know where to start, feel like the plan isn't working but aren't sure what to ask for, or just want someone in your corner who understands the system.
